Armanas Abramavičius (2002–2011)

Armanas Abramavičius was born in 1962. In 1985, after he had graduated from the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, he continued in the Department of Criminal Law of the same faculty as a university teacher. He was Vice-dean of the Faculty of Law. In 1991, he finished his post-graduate studies in M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and maintained his doctoral thesis. In 1991–1992, he was an advisor to the Supreme Council Commission for the Affairs of National Defence and the Interior. In 1993, he was a consultant to the Legal Division of the Seimas. In 1993–1995, he was an assistant to the Minister of Justice. In 1995–1997, he was an advisor to the President of the Republic. In 1997–2000, he was a reviewer to an advisor of the President of the Republic. In 2000–2002, he was an advisor to the President of the Republic and the Head of the Legal Department. In 2002–2011, he was a justice of the Constitutional Court.
