On 13–14 February, while on his visit to Kiev (Ukraine), President of the Constitutional Court Dainius Žalimas took part in an event organised to present a joint project “Support to Ukraine’s Constitutional Court Direct Complaint Process: Increasing Judicial Transparency and Accessibility” of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine.
On 3 February, in Kiev, President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania Dainius Žalimas took part in an event held on the occasion of the launch of the EU Twinning Project “Implementation of the best European practices with the aim of strengthening the institutional capacity of the Apparatus of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights to protect human rights and freedoms”. The President of the Constitutional Court expressed support for this project and underlined that the aim of this project is the common goal of Lithuania and Ukraine as well as the institutions of both states to ensure the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms, thereby strengthening independent European Ukraine.
