Under the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Programme (TAIEX) of the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission, the Constitutional Court has consulted lawyers from the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. The purpose of the consultations was to share the experience of the Constitutional Court in preparing its final acts.

Commemorative plaques unveiled on the Day of the Constitution

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, the facade of the Constitutional Court was decorated with commemorative plaques to memorialise the Act of Independence of Lithuania of 16 February 1918 and the Act of 11 March 1990 on the Re-establishment of the Independent State of Lithuania.

The Vilnius Communiqué also emphasises that a number of courts have come under pressure from the executive and the legislative powers of their respective countries, but also from the media.
