THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

                            DECISION
          ON AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING THE RULES OF THE
         CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA

     The  Constitutional  Court  of the Republic  of   Lithuania,
composed  of  the Justices of the Constitutional  Court   Armanas
Abramavičius,   Toma  Birmontienė,  Pranas  Kuconis,     Kęstutis
Lapinskas, Zenonas Namavičius, Ramutė Ruškytė, Egidijus Šileikis,
Algirdas Taminskas and Romualdas Kęstutis Urbaitis, 
     with the secretary of the hearing—Daiva Pitrėnaitė,
     at  a  procedural  sitting  of  the  Constitutional    Court
considered the issue of amendment and supplement of the Rules  of
the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania (wording of
18 September 2007 with the amendments and supplements made by the
Constitutional Court decision of 26 November 2008).
     Pursuant  to Article 3 and Paragraph 5 of Article 55 of  the
Law on the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania,

     The Constitutional Court has adopted the following
                            decision:
     To  amend  and supplement the Rules of  the   Constitutional
Court of the Republic of Lithuania which were set forth in a  new
wording  by  the  Decision of the Constitutional  Court  of   the
Republic   of  Lithuania  "On  amending  the  Decision  of    the
Constitutional  Court of the Republic of Lithuania 'On  approving
the  Rules  of  the  Constitutional Court  of  the  Republic   of
Lithuania'  of  5  March 2004" of 18  September  2007   (Official
Gazette  Valstybės  žinios, 2007, No. 100-4082) and  which   were
amended  and supplemented by the Decision of the   Constitutional
Court of the Republic of Lithuania "On amending and supplementing
the  Rules  of  the  Constitutional Court  of  the  Republic   of
Lithuania"  of  26  November 2008  (Official  Gazette   Valstybės
žinios, 2008, No. 139-5513).
     1. To amend and supplement Sub-Item 49.7 of the Rules of the
Constitutional  Court of the Republic of Lithuania and to set  it
forth as follows:
     "49.7.  the  Division of Information and Technologies;   the
Library of the Constitutional Court shall be a unit thereof;"
     2. To amend Item 62 of the Rules of the Constitutional Court
of the Republic of Lithuania and to set it forth as follows:
     "62. The State servants of the library of the Constitutional
Court, upon assignment of the Director of the Law Department  and
justices, perform search of legal and other literature  according
to indicated topics and provide the lists of literature  relevant
for constitutional justice cases."
     3.  To  amend Item 164 of the Rules of  the   Constitutional
Court  of  the  Republic  of Lithuania and to set  it  forth   as
follows:
     "164.  The reasoned dissenting opinion of the justice  shall
be  attached to the considered case; the General Division of  the
Constitutional Court shall, not later than within 3 working days,
inform,  in  writing, the parties to the case of this fact.   The
mass  media  shall  also be informed of the  dissenting   opinion
presented by the justice."
     3.  To  amend Item 165 of the Rules of  the   Constitutional
Court  of  the  Republic  of Lithuania and to set  it  forth   as
follows:
     "165. The dissenting opinion of a justice shall be published
on the Internet website of the Constitutional Court."
     4.  To publish this decision of the Constitutional Court  in
the official gazette Valstybės žinios and on the Internet website
of the Constitutional Court.
